Office Co-ordinator (Survival Deutschland, Berlin)

Survival, the world’s leading NGO for tribal peoples’ rights, is looking for someone with initiative and excellent administration skills to run its German office as the sole employee with support from interns.

We need someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and dealing with the public. You will be very organised, able to work on your own and have excellent communication skills. Commitment to the goals and philosophy of Survival is essential.

You will be responsible for increasing our supporter base in Germany, delivering a variety of supporter services, fundraising, liaising with press, producing and distributing Survival publications, maintaining accurate financial records, and managing volunteers and interns.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills in German as well as good English.

We are looking for someone who would be comfortable in a wide range of situations: completing administrative tasks accurately and quickly; meeting politicians; applying to foundations; talking to journalists; writing to Survival supporters, etc. Commitment and intelligence count as much as experience.

Starting salary: €1,750 pm

Supporter Services Assistant (London)

Survival is looking for an efficient assistant to the Head of the Supporter Services department. You will help to ensure an effective delivery of a wide range of supporter service activities. Responsibilities include: maintaining databases; servicing supporters; recruiting new supporters; dealing with enquiries; some fundraising; and a variety of administration tasks.

You will be very organised, numerate, able to prioritise and have good planning skills. Computer literacy and an ability to work as part of a team are essential. Commitment and intelligence count as much as experience.

Survival’s work is funded by supporters from over 80 countries. Their help is key to the future of many of the world’s most threatened tribal peoples. You will help us achieve our goal of changing public opinion, which is the most effective force for change.

Starting salary: £14,500 – £15,500 pa
Full-time in Survival’s central London office.
