Survival relies on the dedication of its committed volunteers, who contribute their time for free, and make so much of our work possible.

Voluntary placements in Survival’s London office offer a great introduction to working in a dynamic, unique NGO, and many of our volunteers go on to get jobs in the sector.

We offer a range of volunteer opportunities across many of our departments. If you want to use your time and skills to help Survival, we may have a position for you.

PR and Fundraising Intern

Survival International, the human rights organisation working for tribal peoples, is looking for a PR and Fundraising intern, to work from our London Headquarters.

We need someone who possesses excellent communication skills and enjoys working in a busy environment and dealing with the public and press. You will be very organised, able to prioritise and have good planning skills.

You will be expected to assist the PR and Fundraising Manager, working on new fundraising projects, implementing PR strategy, and talking to the press.

Survival International works to help tribal peoples defend their lives, protect their lands and determine their own futures. You will help us achieve our goal of changing public opinion, which is the most effective force for change.

Hours: Part-time, for a minimum of three months

Supporter Services Volunteer

Survival’s work is funded by supporters from over 60 countries. Their help is key to the future of many of the world’s most threatened tribal peoples. Survival International is recruiting for a volunteer at our London headquarters to assist in the efficient and effective running of its Supporter Services department. This positions offers valuable insight and hands-on-experience at the heart of the world’s foremost international charity committed to the rights of tribal peoples.

You will play an important role in helping to deliver a wide range of supporter services. As part of a small team, you will assist in various tasks, mostly but not exclusively of an administrative nature. A minimum commitment of 2-3 days per week, for a minimum period of 3 months is required.

As well as a genuine enthusiasm for and commitment to Survival’s work, you will be very organised and have good time-management skills. The ability to work as part of a team and take pleasure in the routine, as well as the more challenging tasks, is important. Computer literacy, excellent communication skills, both oral and written, is essential.
